THE SEARCH FOR CONNECTION

Over consumption has never been easier and readily available to us. With a few clicks, clothes arrive at our doorstep and hung in our closet only to be worn a few times. We always believed that the sweaters we own should be meaningful and longer lasting with the intention of being passed down. And with every season, memories are made naturally with our clothes as we go about our lives.

That is why our sustainable cashmere sweaters are meant to be worn to weave memories in them. Creating a connection with our clothes and passing them on is our Cashmere Clouds ethos.

Portrait of Amanda

AMANDA YAMADA

Cashmere Clouds is a timestamp of when my second son was born and highlights the importance of work-life balance. We get so absorbed in our craft that family time often shrinks as a result. Starting Cashmere Clouds in 2016 is a memory in itself and the cashmere sweaters we make is a constant reminder of what we need to value in life - our family and friends, as well as our passions. That is what I personally want to pass on to you.

There’s a warm feeling that grows inside your chest when you receive a cashmere sweater.

After spending a year in Inner Mongolia learning the craft to make a cashmere sweater with nomadic herders, I felt the need to share that unique warmth with others. That is what I personally want to pass on to you.
